The Community Hospital located in the Canton district of Cardiff is an example of one of the few healthcare projects in Wales delivered through a PFI initiative with a construction value of £13M. Lee Wakemans acted as Independent Certifier holding a duty of care to Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust, Barclays Bank Plc and the SPV, a joint venture between Macob Developments / Impregilo UK Limited.
The accommodation provides 100 beds with en-suite facilities for the wider community including accommodation supporting Elderly Mental Infirm (EMI), Student Dental, Podiatry, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Family Planning, and Child Health Services.
