Lee Wakemans has recently completed the new £5.2M Accident & Emergency Department at West Wales General Hospital for Hywel Dda NHS Trust.
The scheme comprised the construction of a new Accident & Emergency Department at ground floor level together with shell accommodation at first floor level in readiness for a proposed future fit-out for a critical care suite. The A&E scheme was designed to follow the new ‘See and Treat’ philosophy which is aimed at reducing patient waiting times and is therefore at the cutting edge of healthcare initiatives. Also provided under the scheme was a dedicated MRI Suite which complements the overall facilities offered at the hospital.
